Sometimes I don't get you Dutch people. As soon as a little sunshine appears, people go outdoors, wearing nothing but a t-shirt, like it's the summer season already. The summer isn't even that hot, except for maybe two weeks in the whole year (at least, that used to be the case before all that global warming stuff happened).
But honestly, it's not even officially spring yet, and I see people shedding their clothes, ice cream trucks popping up everywhere and people going to the beach (okay, I shouldn't be the one to talk, since I went there in the middle of winter, but still). I mean, it's only like 11-13 degrees outside, that's like winter temperature in countries like Spain and Australia, and it's freakin' cold there during that time!
I'm exaggerating a bit of course, not everybody does that. But a little sunshine in cold weather seems to be enough to get people feeling like it's summer already, which I find odd.. Maybe it's also because the people that do go out in just their t-shirts are so hairy that they wouldn't feel cold even in the winter season.. All I can say is: people are weird!

What can I say, the dutch like living on the edge......
Jax,
people love the sun...and patience is a difficult virtue...
I for one am hoping my European holiday will have more sunshine days than cold ones! :-( Looks unlikely though!
(And this when i come from a land that gets the sun 24x7x365)
@Lin: hahahah! yeah, definitely a thrilling country, what with the Christians now in the government..
@Taraa: Well, the weather will get warmer during the next month. I wouldn't go out without a light jacket though, but at least you won't need any winter gear anymore :P
